Dr.G.K.
Jayaram is the founder–Director of the Institute of
Leadership & Institutional Development (ILID) at Bangalore. Dr.
Jayaram is a consultant, teacher, and entrepreneur-businessman. Over
the last three decades, he has specialized in assisting organizations
manage change and create long-lasting high performance.
As head of the Infosys Leadership Institute, Dr. Jayaram received the
prestigious Corporate University Xchange Excellence Award for 2002, for
‘Aligning Corporate Learning to Business
Strategies’. The award recognises organizations that have
demonstrated innovation and excellence in corporate education and
training. Under Dr. Jayaram's stewardship, Infosys became the first
organization founded in Asia to win this celebrated award.
The span of his work and experience has been worldwide with diverse
industries at all levels of the organization, from the boardroom to the
shop floor. He has worked for International consulting firms, Arthur D.
Little Inc. and Coopers & Lybrand, and for over two decades,
has owned his own consulting practice in the United States. He was the
first chairman of Infosys during 1982-85. He co-founded Transformation
Systems Inc., a software firm in Princeton, N.J. in 1996 and was the
Chairman of the firm. He retired from this firm in August 1999.
He has taught at Stanford Executive Education Program, UCLA, and U.S.
Naval post-graduate school. In 2001-2003 he created, and was the first
director of, Infosys Leadership Institute at Mysore, India. Jayaram has
a B.Sc. & B.E. from Bangalore, PGDBA from IIM, Ahmedabad, and a
Ph.D. from University of California, Los Angeles.
Murrali, M.Sc (Agri)-Agricultural Economics, Certificated Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers, has work experience of 30 years, 25 years in Canara Bank, a leading public sector bank in India and a 3-year stint in National Commercial Bank of Jamaica. Besides being a faculty in both the banks, has rich experience of branch and administrative functioning. His expertise lies in managing the credit portfolio comprising agriculture, retail banking, business and small industries. His specialization includes training in credit, finance and organizational behaviour. He has served as an internal consultant and has assisted in developing e-learning based training solutions.
His experience is versatile encompassing both field level experience and administrative experience. But the key strength is in designing and conducting training programs not only in bank related subjects but also behavioral and managerial related training programs. The high point is being part of senior management team in successfully executing the plan for creation of Institute of Leadership and Organizational Development for National Commercial Bank of Jamaica. During this tenure, he has developed in integrated training and development approach. He has also developed perspective and experience in E learning based training and development solutions.
Vani Arakere, Program facilitator, is M.A. (psychology) and Diploma holder in PR. Has over 5 years experience as an English Trainer. She is currently involved in teaching basic to career oriented English language and soft skills training to employed and un-employed youth. She handles the design, curriculum development; sessions planning for the conduct of Ekalavya program besides doubling up as a trainer. She is also associated with teachers training for the other incubation program, Pygmalion. She has done corporate training as well for organizations like WIPRO; TITAN Industries and NIKE/DHL.
Mahesh, Project Coordinator & Faculty is a B.Com (Gulbarga); MBA in Finance. He has higher Diploma in software engineering from APTECH and has worked on various platforms like HP-UNIX, Windows NT/2000/XP/98. He is a qualified in Tally software and is a trainer for imparting computer skills and Tally for the Ekalvya program. Mahesh’s prime responsibility is the end to end management of Samhita – BPO initiative. Samhita currently services 4 clients with 4 employees. Mahesh currently handles the Drupal based website maintenance for a large water sustainability NGO. He also handles a Braille typing project initiative managing three stakeholders in parallel. Mahesh is the single point of contact for our translation services and manages planning and execution of the translation work. In his free time he also looks after the office administration, accounts, taxation, compilation of financial reports, project expenses and technology related aspects.
